Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has reconfirmed his departure from the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season. The German manager made the announcement during the club's official press conference on Friday, May 17, ahead of their final fixture of the season against TSG Hoffenheim. The manager stated that it is his "final press conference with the club" and will bring an end to his 14-month period with the Bavarians.
Speaking of the squad, the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League winning manager revealed that majority of the key players will miss out on the final fixture, including Harry Kane. The absence of Englishman means that he will end his first season in Bundesliga with 36 goals and 8 assists in 32 matches.
Thomas Tuchel Rumoured To Join Manchester United
Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the Premier Leaguer and confessed his love for the league and country during the UCL semi-final tie press conference.
"This is a tricky road where you lead me. I’d rather not answer. But it is no secret that I loved it in England and I loved it in the Premier League for sure. It was a very, very special time in England, and I remember it very well," said Thomas Tuchel.
The German has been rumloured to replace Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United, a decision that highly depends upon the outcome of the FA Cup final, where the Red Devils face city rovals Manchester City in a repeat of last year's final at the very same venue, Wembley Stadium.
