First-half produced no real goods for either of the sides until the very last moment, as Brentford managed to score in the fifth minute of the added time via an Ethan Pinnock header, who found the back of the net from Mikkel Damsgaard's cross.
At the half-time whistle, the home side was greeted with boos, but changed all of that to cheers within the few minutes at the start of the second-half, as Alejandro Garnacho scored the equaliser from Marcus Rashford's ball, and The Red Devils took the lead in the 62nd minute, as Bruno Fernandes did well to assist Norwegian striker Rasmus Hojlund, and the turnaround was completed in the space of 15 minutes.
Speaking after the match, Erik Ten Hag applauded his side and called the goals scored by his team "full of quality".
"I think we don't have to overrate it, but, I'm most pleased we scored two brilliant goals and the way we scored was really enjoyable and that will really inspire the team to do even more," said Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United manager.
Here's what he said during the post-match interview:

Matthijs De Ligt Suffers Head Injury During Manchester United's Win Over Brentford
Matthijs De Ligt's head was busted open during the first-half after a collision, and what made matters even worse was the fact that the moment he was taken off-the-field, Brentford scored from a corner.
However, the Dutchman nursed his wound and managed to play out the entire 90 minutes and completed 42 out of 44 passes (a success rate of 95%) and made 3 clearances, 3 interceptions, 5 recoveries, and won 5 duals.
