John Stones Winner vs Wolves: John Stones has once again come to the rescue of Manchester City in the Premier League this season, as the defensive midfielder/defender scores a thumping header in the dying seconds of the match to help Pep Guardiola's side register all the 3 points with a 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With the win, Manchester City now go on top of the table and can go second if Liverpool manages to beat Chelsea tonight.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Vs Manchester City HIGHLIGHTS

Manchester City were all business right from the kick-off, as they started dominating possession, but were pegged back inside 7 minutes via a Wolverhampton Wanderers goal. The visitors constructed a brilliant move, which was delivered oretty well by full-back Nelson Semedo, who's inch-perfect ball gave Jorgen Strand Larsen a simple goal, and with that, the home fans went berserk as the champions were stunned.

The goal did not shake Manchester City's rhythm as they constantly attacked the backline of Wolves and found the all-important equaliser via Jeremy Doku, who did all the hardwork and assisted Josko Gvardiol for the goal in the 33rd minute

The goal marks Josko Gvardiol's second Premier League goal of the season, and with that, the first-half ended 1-1.

The second-half got off to a dismal start for visitors, as Wolves created good amount of chances but failed to capitalise upon it, and things went a bit worse for the home side, as goal-scorer Jorgen Strand Larsen was taken off-the-pitch due to an injury, and was replaced by Goncalo Guedes.

All the drama and controversy was saved for the last, as John Stones scored a thumping header from Phil Foden's ball but VAR intervened to have a look at it, as Bernardo Silva seemed to have been in an off-side position during the play, and was in line of sight of goalkeeper.

However, upon seeing the replays, it was not the case and Manchester City were awarded their well-deserved winner and it ended 2-1 in favour of the visitors at Molineux Stadium.
