Manchester United, and whole of the footballing world, suffered one of the most tragic incidents in the history of sports as Sir Matt Busby's 'Busby Babes' met the fatal Munich Air Disaster incident on this day in 1958. Manchester United have always remembered the iconic team in fondest of their memories and have time to time paid tribute, and similar was the case this year as well as they paid tribute to the team during their Premier League fixture against West Ham United at Old Trafford on February 4.

February 6 is a black day in Red Devils' history and they often change their profile picture with some or the othere theme related to 1958 Mnich Air Disaster and this year, they have kept it a clock, whose minute and hour hands points the exact time of tragedy on that day. The legendary team was returning from their European Cup fixture against Red Star Belgrade and met the fatal accident on the runway of Munich airport. The survivors of the crash often tell the magnitude of that incident, in every way possible.

The Legend Of Busby Babes Of Sir Matt Busby
Sir Matt Busby was the manager of Manchester United from 1945-1971, bar the 1969-1970 season, and developed such a successful team consisting of young players and academy products, and created superstars like Tommy Taylor, Bobby Charlton to name a few. Such was the class and aura of the team that they made each and every football fan of that time admire their style of play and tey won league titles in 1956 and 1957 and could have created even bigger legacy, but met a fatal crash and remained a matter of 'WHAT COULD'VE BEEN'.
