Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating his 38th birthday today, February 5, in Saudi Arabia along with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and kids. One of the biggest controversies from the sporting arena last year was Ronaldo's controversial exit from Manchester United (MU) following his sensational interview with British journalist Piers Morgan. The explosive interview from Ronaldo drew curtains to his stay at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, who has achieved perhaps everything that a football player could possibly achieve, had made a huge return to 'world-famous' Manchester United for a second stint in 2021, 12 years after he made his debut for the club. His second stint lasted for two years before his contract was terminated after what he had to say about the club, its facilities and its manager.

Despite his controversial exit, Manchester United wished the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner on his birthday.

Here's What Cristiano Ronaldo said in his 'bombshell' interview...

"I don't have respect for him (Ten Hag) because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you," Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan.

"I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United. But you have some things inside that don't help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal . . . a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not unfortunately," he added.
