Manchester United Season Review: It was a turbulent season for Erik Ten Hag's Manchester United, as the Red Devils have recorded their lowest ever position in he Premier League era, with the club finishing 8th. What rubs more salt on the wounds is the fact that Manchester United are now going to miss out on European football next season, as Chelsea and Newcastle United have pipped them for the last slots.

However, irrespective of the success and failures in the 2023/24 season, the United faithful always stood strong and backed the team on every possible occasion. The loyalty and faith shown by the fans was acknowledged by the Dutch manager, who hailed them as "the best fans in the world".

Manchester United finished last in their UEFA Champions League 2023/24 group, which resulted in an early European exit for the Red Devils and they remained active only in domestic cup games and Premier League.

The Carabao Cup did not favour the record-Premier League champions, as they were eliminated in Round 4 by Newcastle United. The Magpies humbled and humiliated the defending champions in some style, as they walked away 3-0 winners at Old Trafford.

The Premier League 2023/24 season of Manchester United saw them record only 60 points, and register only 18 wins, which is a big downfall for the club, as the win rate fello below 50%. Not only this, they shipped in 58 goals solely in Premier League, which is again, one of their worst defensive records in league.

Can Manchester United Salvage Some Pride By Beating Manchester City In FA Cup 2024 Final?

Manchester United are in a 'David Vs Goliath'  battle against reigning treble winners and fierce city rivals — Manchester City, as the Wembley Stadium is once again ready to host a repeat of last year's FA Cup Final. Manchester City cannot repeat their treble anymore, as they are out of the UEFA Champions League 2023/24, but can do the double, as they recently won their historic 4th consecutive Premier League title.

If Manchester United win against Manchester City, they will pull off one of the greatest heists of modern era, as Manchester City are in their best prime, and Manchester United are in their worst phase. Erik Ten Hag has done miracles with AFC Ajax, and the United faithful will be hoping that the Dutch manager pulls off another rabbit out of the hat.
