Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the headlines once again when he scored a sensational free-kick goal from 35-yards in the Saudi Pro League match between Al-Nassr and Abha. Even though Ronaldo-led team were trailing in the match thank to a first-half goal from Abdulfattah Adam, first the Portugal superstar scored netted a sensational goal to level the scores in the 78th minute before his teammate Talisca converted a penalty in the 86th which proved to be the difference between the sides on Saturday.

The win helped Al-Nassr take all the three points from the match and continue to stay within 1 point of the League toppers Al-Ittihad. However, after the win, Talisca, who was returning from an injury, has said that Ronaldo handing him the penalty which helped them win the match was a gesture of mutual respect within the teammates.

"This is mutual respect and we are one team and we act like a family," Talisca told the Saudi Sports Company (SSC) TV.

"We all cooperate and the most important thing is the team. In the end, it's all for the benefit of the club. Whether it is me or any other player, the important thing is to score. It is certainly something special from Ronaldo," he added.

Al-Ittihad, meanwhile, registered a dominating win in their league match on Saturday against Al Fateh. They did not have to fight hard to take their three points like fellow league title contenders Al-Nassr. Abderrazak Hamdallah's hat-trick set up an easy win for them while Ahmed Sharahili and Igor Coronado also scored in Al-Ittihad's 5-1 win over Al Fateh.

Mourad Batna scored the solitary goal for sixth placed Al Fateh.

Al-Nassr will next meet Al Adalah on the night of April 4 while Al-Ittihad also take on Damac on the same day.
