It was a cakewalk for Enzo Maresca's side at Stamford Bridge, as they surged to a 6-0 lead at half-time, thereby, becoming the first-ever English side in the history of the competition to hold a 6-goal advantage at halfway stage.
Also, with their 6-0 lead at half-time, they became the first English side since the 1976-77 season to hold such a big advantage. Derby County were winning 9-0 against Finn Harps in the UEFA Cup that season, which till date, remains the largest gap for an English side in European history.
This result now marks Chelsea's second biggest win in Europe, only behind the 13-0 triumph over Jeunesse Hautcharage back in 197.

Enzo Maresca Reflects On Chelsea's Record-Breaking Win
The Chelsea manager was extremely delighted with his side's massive win and stated that 'they are serious' for the competition that lies ahead of them.
"Everyone expected that we win the game but you have to play, you have to be serious, professional and the most important thing is that, once again, the players show how serious and professional they are. Very impressed. Especially because since we start, we are trying to change players every game. It works quite well and the reason why, I said many times, is because we have good players and all of them deserve to get minutes," said Enzo Maresca.
"Some of them are playing in the Conference, some of them in the Premier League but in the future, all of them are going to play Premier League games and all of them are going to play Conference games. Before the game I said to them that football is full of games where you are expected to win games and then you will drop for mentally you’re not ready. I think tonight they showed how serious they are," he added.
