Have won everything I set out to win in European football: Cristiano
It should be noted that the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward is expected to become the highest-paid footballer in the world with the latest deal set to fetch him a whopping $200 million a year. In an official statement from the 37-year-old, Ronaldo said that he was eager to experience a new football league in a different country.
“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia,” he added.
For the unversed, Ronaldo's contract with his previous club Manchester United was terminated after his interview with Piers Morgan in which he said that felt "betrayed" by the club. He added that he has no respect for Erik Ten Hag, the club's manager, and felt that the club's facilities stagnated since the day Sir Alex Ferguson left Old Trafford as their manager.
