Brazil’s star footballer Neymar Jr. is likely to take part in his first-ever match in India when his new club Al-Hilal will be playing against Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC in the AFC Champions League West. Al-Hilal who is one of the most successful teams in history with four titles in their kitty has come up against Mumbai City FC in the AFC Champions League West draw on Thursday.
Both Mumbai City FC and Al-Hilal have been placed in Group D and also have Iranian club FC Nassaji Mazandaran and Uzbek club PFC Navbahor Namangan as its other members.
It’s a piece of massive news for Indian fans since it will be a treat to their eyes when they witness Al-Hilal’s Neymar in action. Neymar missed out on playing the game against Al-Fayha but then he is likely to make his debut against Al-Raed later on Thursday. Mumbai City FC will play their home games at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune.
The group stage of the Asian Champions League will take place on September 18. However, it is unknown when Al Hilal will be playing in India since the final match schedule is awaited.
