Diego Maradona, the Argentinian football legend on Wednesday, November 25, passed away after suffering a heart attack at his home in Tigre Argentina. The 60-year-old, flamboyant player, was best known for leading Argentina to the 1986 Football World Cup title. The footballer earlier this month, had undergone surgery for a brain clot. The football legend celebrated his 60th Birthday on October 30 and had shown up that night for Gimnasia's national championship match against Patronato, which his team won 3-0. • Diego Armando Maradona was born on 30 October 1960, three days after Muhammad Ali won his first professional boxing fight.
• Regarded as the greatest footballer of all time, Maradona one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award.
• On 20 October 1976, Maradona made his professional debut for Argentinos Juniors, 10 days before his 16th birthday. He entered to the pitch wearing the number 16 jersey and became the youngest player in the history of Argentine Primera División. Few minutes after debuting, Maradona kicked the ball through Juan Domingo Cabrera's legs, making a nutmeg that would become legendary.

• He represented his country, Argentina 91 times, during which he scored 34 goals for Argentina. He represented Argentina in four World Cups, 82, 86, 90, and 94.
