Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Feels Signing Ronaldo Is Quick Fix But Not A 'Business For Future'

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Man United's rival club- Liverpool - says that signing Ronaldo is just a quick fix and it will no have an impact on the future.

Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer: Manchester United made a dream signing by including Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks. The Portugese maestro wanted to leave Juventus and play at a different club. Although the move is hailed world-wide and United fans think that this is "the year" for them, the manager of Man United's rival club- Liverpool - says that signing Ronaldo is just a quick fix and it will no have an impact on the future.

Jurgen Klopp was speaking at a press conference before the start of Chelsea vs Liverpool game on Saturday. He was asked about Cristiano joining Manchester United to which he said, “If other clubs can do this, it is not a business of the future. It is for now and immediately."

“That is how some clubs are working and that is fine. There must be different ways, a team – two or three years later and you need success… You need to make sure you develop as a team and club, and that is what we did," Klopp added. (as quoted by Indian Express)

Ronaldo is a 36-year-old footballer with amazing fitness levels, but still he is a 36 year old footballer who might think of getting towards the end of his career. Thus, Klopp's words might be hurtful for United fans, but they do have some truth to it.

Nonetheless, Liverpool had to settle for a draw against Chelsea on Saturday. Despite Chelsea losing a player after a contentious penalty decision, Liverpool were not able to capitalize against a 10-man Chelsea. Chelsea's goalie was superb on Saturday.
