Zadran set to miss Afghanistan's inaugural Test due to knee injury

Afghanistan have dealt with major blow ahead of their inaugural Test match against India after pacer Dawlat Zadran was ruled out with a knee injury.

Afghanistan have dealt with major blow ahead of their inaugural Test match against India after pacer Dawlat Zadran was ruled out with a knee injury.

Zadran is also set to miss Afghanistan’s three-match T2- series againsBangladeshsh, slated to begin on June 3 in the Indian city of Dehradun.

According to the Afghan Cricket Board (ACB), the 30-year-old pacer hurt himself during training in India and was advised a month's rest.

Zadran, who has 137 wickets from 105 international matches, has been in good form for Afghanistan. During their title run in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018 in Zimbabwe earlier this year, he picked up eight wickets and also took a hat-trick in the warm-up match before the main tournament.

Afghanistan will lock horns against India in their debut match in the longest format on June 14 in Bengaluru.
