Abhshek Sharma, the young India batter who is known for his explosive batting display, turned 24-years-old on September 4 (Wednesday). On his 24th birthday, the former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who has been known to be a mentor to the young batting sensation, took to his official social media handle to wish Abhishek.

Yuvraj, the 2011 ODI World Cup Player of the Tournament, uploaded a special birthday video for Abhishek. Interestingly, in the video Yuvraj, who made history by hitting six sixes in an over to England’s Stuart Broad during the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa, is seen advising Abhishek to keep the ball down and avoid hitting massive shots in the air during what looks like a training session. Despite Yuvraj’s advice, Abhishek continues to hit the net bowlers for big shots.

“Single bhi le lo maharaj (Do take a single as well, sir),” Yuvraj can be heard saying in the video. However, the batter keeps hitting the bog shots, prompting Yuvraj to say, "Tu Na Sudhri (You won't change)."

"Happy birthday, sir Abhishek. Hope you take as many singles this year as the sixes you hit out of the park. Keep putting in the hard work! Loads of love and best wishes for a fantastic year ahead," Singh wrote in the caption of the video.

24-year-old Abhishek frequently shares videos of him practising with Yuvraj on social media. He also frequently speaks about how Yuvraj’s advice has helped him become a better cricketer, highlighting the bond that the two share.
