Shikhar Dhawan recently announced his retirment from all forms of domestic and international cricket. The left-handed batter had last played a game for India in December 2022 and with the selectors looking at younger talents, an India combeback seemed unlikely for the veteran cricketer. Similarly in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhawan spent most of the time on the sidelines in IPL 2024 after sustaining an injury early on.

With a mega-auction this year and Shikhar not having enough cricket behind him in recent times to attract a bid, Dhawan thought it best to retire from all forms of the game. However, it now seems like the left-hander could join Yuvraj Singh in playing a tournament. Notably, Yuvi has extended an invitation to Dhawan to play in the Legends League tournament.

Although it is still not clear whether we will be seeing Dhawan in the competition, Yuvraj's retirment post in which he gave a subtle hint has forced people to speculate.
