The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, taking place in India, has been a source of delight for cricket fans, offering intriguing matches. Additionally, players are relishing the opportunity to explore the country's rich cultural heritage and sample its diverse cuisines. Amidst the cricket action, England's versatile all-rounder, Ben Stokes, recently shared a thrilling experience he and his teammate, Liam Livingstone, encountered while enjoying their time in India. It's important to note that both Stokes and Livingstone play crucial roles in England's ODI World Cup 2023 squad.

The pair is presently in India with the England team for their participation in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Stokes recounted a nerve-wracking incident that occurred during one of their auto rickshaw rides with Livingstone and England's strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell. Their autorickshaw narrowly avoided a collision with a white car.

Stokes humorously explained,"So, me and Livi [Liam Livingstone] are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch [Andy Mitchell], who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk's aren't very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. This is the one I got [shows the video on his phone]... We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes!" Stokes shared this incident during a conversation on The Athlete's Voice by 4CAST.

England's performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 has been less than stellar so far. They have managed just one victory in the four matches they've played. Stokes missed the first three games due to a hip issue. However, he made a comeback in England's most recent game against South Africa, though he couldn't perform at his best as England suffered a 229-run defeat.

On Thursday, October 26, England are set to face Sri Lanka at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This match is crucial as both teams have struggled in the tournament and have limited room for error. Meanwhile, Livingstone participated in the first three games but was left out for the match against South Africa.
