During the Day 2 of the first Ashes between England and Australia in Edgbaston on Saturday,  veteran England all-rounder Moeen Ali produced a magical delivery to get rid of Cameron Green. The Australian batter was looking dangerous but then Moeen came in and got his wicket by bowling a jaffa as Green departed after scoring 38.

Moeen’s delivery was pitched a bit outside the off stump but then it came in sharply and Green completely failed to judge it and the ball went on to crash the stumps. Meanwhile, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh was also surprised to see the unplayable delivery bowled by Moeen Ali. He took to his Twitter handle and lauded the England spinner.

“What a beauty Moeen”, wrote Harbhajan.

Earlier, Australia’s opener Usman Khawaja collected his maiden Test hundred in England and sailed his team's boat in the Ashes opener at Edgbaston on Saturday. Australia were reeling at 67/3 after Stuart Broad picked up two wickets in two balls after he took the wickets of David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne. England’s skipper Ben Stokes also took the crucial wicket of star batter, Steve Smith.

The Kangaroos kept on suffering blows but Khawaja held the fort and built a 81-run stand with left-hander Travis Head for the fourth wicket. Both the batters also reached their half-centuries before Ali trapped Head in the 46th over. The 36-year-old batter tormented the English bowlers as he smashed them all around the park with ease. Usman again formed a  72-run stand for the fifth wicket with Ashes debutant Cameron Green, putting Australia in a commanding position on Day 2. Khawaja's colleague Travis Head spoke about the latter's hundred and told Sky Sports, "It's a huge weight off his shoulders. As an international cricketer, everyone talks about hundreds overseas and he hasn't had the greatest of times leading into this series. I know he is determined and once he got through the new ball, he played beautifully".
