In the video, his wife Dharmeta Kaneria says that the priest of the Swaminarayan temple says that the temple is almost 200 years old. She continues by saying that they ‘enjoy all festivals in the temple premises’. They ‘celebrate Holi, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri with the same enthusiasm and thousands take part in it.’ She makes cultural videos for her YouTube channel ‘Explore Culture with Dharmeta Kaneria’.
The temple premises have an ashram for people to stay. This temple was also visited by Mohammed Ali Jinnah and the temple walls have carvings in Gujarati as a group of sadhus from Ahmedabad visited the temple in 1989.
