Waqar,Tendulkar celebrate their 'special day' with mutual admiration
New Delhi: On this day, 27 years ago, a sixteen year old teenager went out to face one of the fiercest bowling attacks of the world, consisting of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and another debutant Waqar Younis. At 2011, that man, Sachin Tendulkar finished with 100 International centuries and 15921 runs in Test matches.
To mark the special occasion of the master’s debut, Waqar Younis took to twitter to express his feelings and congratulate Sachin on a remarkable career.

When a Pakistani fast bowler expresses something then how can the master be silent? Sachin also replied in his own style by stating that Waqar was not slow by any means.
Playing for the country was always a dream. What a memorable moment it was! Time has flown quickly indeed, but you weren't any slower either https://t.co/eBm6nhK4pJ

Notably, Waqar, a debutant himself in that match in Karachi, had hit Sachin Tendulkar on the nose and left him bloodied. Sachin managed to score score only 15 in his debut innings but he caught everyone’s imagination with his grittiness and mental toughness.
Indian captain Virat Kohli, also congratulated Sachin on completing 27 years in International cricket.
Thank you for the kind words. Wish you and our team all the best for the series vs England. https://t.co/bK1CAdKXt6
