According to the reports, the notice issued by the bench comprising Justice N Kirubakaran and Justice B Pugalendhi was issued to several other cricketers and film stars including Prakash Raj, Tammana, Rana and Sudip Khan.

The Madurai bench while hearing the case said, "The apps are in the name of IPL teams such as Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and some apps are also in the name of state’s names. Are these teams playing on behalf of the state."

As stated in other media reports, the bench further accused the app owners of using celebrities for the sake of earning crores.
