T20 World Cup: Sanjay Manjrekar Drops Ashwin, Picks Shardul In His Playing XI Against Pakistan - Check Full Playing XI

T20 World Cup: Sanjay Manjrekar has picked Shardul Thakur, a pacer, over Ravi Ashwin, a spinner in his predicted Playing XI.

T20 World Cup: India and Pakistan, the arch-rivals meet once again in the T20 cricket WC on Sunday. It is going to be a battle of nerves, and whichever team is able to handle this pressure, will get over the line. 

It is also very important to have the correct Playing XI. Many experts have said that they would pick an extra spinner considering the conditions in Dubai, but former India cricketer, Sanjay Manjrekar is averse to this idea. He has picked Shardul Thakur, a pacer, over Ravi Ashwin, a spinner.

Manjrekar had previously pointed out that Ashwin hasn't been bowling well against South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia. "When people start talking about him as being one of the all-time greats of the game then I have a few problems," Manjrekar said to ESPNcricinfo.

Some netizens were quick to point out that Manjrekar dropped Ashwin and picked Shardul. 

We will have to wait till 7 pm on Sunday to find out about India's Playing XI against Pakistan. India vs Pakistan T20 match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai. The match starts AT 7:30 pm IST. Both teams have faced each other 12 times in the World Cup so far, where Team India has emerged as the winner every time.
