India Cricket Team batter Smriti Mandhana shared a humorous birthday wish for her close friend and teammate, Shreyanka Patil, who turned 22 on July 31. Mandhana posted a funny video on social media showing a prank played on Shreyanka, where the off-spinner gets scared and falls as someone screams at her from a cupboard. The post highlights the strong friendship between the two cricketers, who play together for both India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Women's Premier League (WPL). 

The playful birthday message has caught the attention of many fans.

Smriti Mandhana Posts Prank Video On Shreyanka Patil's Birthday

In a video shared by Smriti Mandhana on her official Instagram account, Shreyanka Patil seems to be preparing for an occasion. Mandhana asks her to look for something in the right cupboard. When Shreyanka obliges and opens the cupboard, she is startled by a loud, scary roar, causing her to fall to the ground in fear.

“Happy Birthday Shreyy!! Had to wait a few days to put this video out, What better day than your Birthday! Have a great year ahead,” reads the caption of the the video.

Shreyanka Patil Sustained Injury During Women's Asia Cup 2024

Shreyanka Patil, the off-spinner, played only one match for India in the recently concluded 2024 Women's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, where India faced a defeat to the hosts in the final. She was part of Team India's playing XI in the game against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dambulla, where she delivered impressive figures of 2-14 from 3.2 overs.

However, the 22-year-old was ruled out for the rest of the tournament due to an injury as she sustained a fracture in the fourth finger of her left hand.
