Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan on Tuesday achieved a special feat as he became the first ever batsman score back-to-back tons in the Indian Premier League during his team's match against Kings XI Punjab in Dubai.

In IPL's thirteen year old history, Dhawan became the first ever batsman to achieve the feat as he notched up second consecutive ton in the ongoing thirteenth edition at the UAE after scoring a blazing 106-run knock of just 61 balls against KXIP at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Dhawan knock went in vain as Kings Eleven Punjab went onto register a 5-wicket win over Delhi Capitals and kept their hopes alive to secure a berth in the playoffs.

The left handed opener's knock was hailed and admired by all quarters in the cricketing fraternity as he racked up his 2nd IPL hundred in the 19th over to help DC post 164 for 5 in 20 overs.

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was one among the many cricketers who congratulated his former national team mate on scripting the record in the T20 league, who didn't have a single 100 in T20 cricket in 264 innings before smashing 2 in a row in a matter of a few days in IPL 2020.
