Shadab Khan feels no pressure ahead India-Pakistan clash

New Delhi: Pakistan is geared up to take on arch-rivals India in the opening encounter at ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday. This is the kind of game which every player from both the countries fantasize about and will remember for years to come.

Same is the case with Pakistan’s young bowling sensation shadab Khan, who is excited with the prospect to play against the neighbors.

The 18-year-old so far has only had the opportunity to watch the cricketing powerhouses face off on Television sets but this time he might be on the ground to help his teammates in the crucial tie

The leg-spinner insists he feels no pressure as he prepares to grab his place in the starting XI for the high-voltage encounter against the defending champions.

“TV pe dekhta tha to lagta tha bahut pressure game hai. Aab nahi lagta hai (I use feel the pressure when I saw them play on TV but now I don’t feel any pressure)"

Though the talented bowler is less likely to feature against India as Pakistan plan to start with 4 pacers

If I get a chance I will give my 100 percent to make the team win, added Shadab.

Pakistan are yet to lift the coveted trophy but they have good head to head record against India, winning on 2 out of three occasions and win against their fierce rivals in the opening game will be a morale booster for the 1992 World champions.
