Rishabh Pant Will Be Shifted To Mumbai For Further Treatment: DDCA Director Shyam Sharma
Rishabh Pant Car Accident: Notably, Pant was initially admitted to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre before being shifted to the Max Hospital, Dehradun.
The latest update with regards to the Rishabh Pant car accident is that the injured cricketer will now be shifted to Mumbai for further course of treatment. While it was initially only speculations that Pant could be shifted once he is fit enough to travel so that his further treatment can be done under the BCCI's empanelled doctor Dinshaw Pardiwala, the DDCA Director has now confirmed the same.
In a statement to news agency ANI, DDCA Director Shyam Sharma said: "Cricketer Rishabh pant will be shifted to Mumbai today for further treatment."
Notably, Pant met with an accident when he was driving on the Delhi-Dehradun highway and was on his way to his hometown Roorkee where he had planned a surprise visit to his mother. While initial reports suggested that he fell asleep while driving, later claims were being made that the 25-year-old tried to avoid a pothole when he lost control of the vehicle.
However, a National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) official later said that there is no credibility to claims suggesting the cricketer wanted to avoid a pothole as there are no potholes on the road where the Delhi Capitals star met with an accident.

Pant Unlikely To Play Any Role in IPL 2023
"Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back," an official release from the BCCI had confirmed.
Post this release, Rishabh has undergone a plastic surgery and received pain management therapy. With improvement in his condition with every passing day and him responding well to treatment, the BCCI feels that this is the apt time to shift him to Mumbai.
Even though there is no confirmation on when Pant will return to the cricket field, in all likelihood he is set to miss IPL 2023 with some reports even ruling him out of the ODI World Cup.
