New Delhi: In the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan will be playing against England in the final match at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. Just ahead of the final encounter, Rishi Sunak, the UK Prime Minister wished the England team.
"Good luck to @englandcricket in the T20 World Cup final against Pakistan tomorrow. I'll be cheering you on, along with every other cricket fan across the UK. We're behind you all the way," said Mr. Sunak.
England sealed the final spot after outplaying the Indian team by 10 wickets. The 2009 and 2010 T20 World Cup champions will be looking to win the title once again at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Talking about the semi-final clash between India and England, the Men in Blue batted first and scored 168 runs in 20 overs. Virat Kohli yet again starred with the bat and scored a brilliant half-century. Hardik Pandya too played a blinder as he made 63 runs in just 33 balls. Opener KL Rahul once again failed to deliver as he got out after scoring just 5 runs.
