India's right-arm swing bowler Mohammed Siraj shone for India in their epic 7-wicket win over South Africa in the second of the two-match Test series at the Newlands Cricket Acadeamy in Cape Town. Siraj bowled a spell to be remembered for the ages on the first day itself, setting the tone for India's victory. He scalped 6 wickets for 15 runs in 9 overs as India bundled out their opposition for just 55, the lowest-ever total an opposing team has made against them in the game's longest format.
In the second innings too Siraj managed to get a wicket to finish with 7 wickets in the match. The 29-year-old speedster who hails from Hyderabad was ajudged the Player of the Match. However, in a hilarious moment after the match, Siraj brought Bumrah as a translator at the post-match presentation but started speaking in English himself. Later when Bumrah jokingly teased Siraj, he went back to Hindi.

"It's my best figures in Test career. I tried to be consistent, hit the right areas and not think too much. I wasn't consistent in the previous match and that's why we leaked a lot of runs. Worked hard on consistency and tried to be relentless with my lengths. That gave me a lot of rewards," Siraj said at the post-match presentation.
"When we play together, he (Bumrah) gets the message earlier. We try to analyse the wicket a little quicker so that the communication goes to the bowling circuit that this is the wicket and this is what we are looking to do . (Message to the fans) Thank you so much, keep supporting, keep loving," he added.
