The 26th edition of the JP Atray Memorial Tournament began on 1 September 2021. There are 16 teams taking part in this competition. It is being played at IS Bindra Cricket Stadium, Mohali. The tournament had a rich history due to some of the cricketers who used to play in the tournament. The tournament will go on till 12 September.
Chetan Sharma, the current head of the selection committee was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the tournament. The tournament kickstarts with CAG Delhi vs UTCA Chandigarh. It is a 50-over tournament.

The 16 participating teams are Delhi Capitals Development Squad, Bihar XI, PCA Colts, Players XI Delhi, HPCA, Punjab Cricket Club, UP Cricket Association, Chattisgarh State Cricket Sangh, RBI Mumbai, UTCA Chandigarh, CAG Delhi, DDCA, Minerva Cricket Academy Chandigarh, Baroda Cricket Association, Ranstar Cricket Club Delhi and Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association
“The 16 teams have been divided into four pools and the matches will be played at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali; Maharaja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur; Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Chandigarh; GMSSS-Sector 26, Chandigarh, and Mahajan Cricket Ground, IT Park, Chandigarh. The winning team will be given a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, while the runner-up team will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, apart from trophies. There will be other awards for individual categories too,” said Sushil Kapoor, organising secretary of the tournament to Indian Express.
