Jay Shah Salary: Jay Shah is currently serving as the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). However, he has already been elected as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and will take over the new role from December. As soon as the news of Shah becoming the youngest-ever ICC chairman was confirmed, there has been curiosity over how much salary he will earn as the ICC chairman.

Notably, the way he earns in BCCI might not be much different from how things will work at the ICC. As the BCCI Secretary, it is a 'honorary' job which means he never gets a regular 'salary'. Even the president, vice-president and treasurer are not paid a regular salary but are instead are reimbursed through allowances.

At the BCCI, Shah gets paid around Rs 84,000 per day. This is the amount he receives to be on international cricket meetings and tours. As far as meetings within India are concerned, he gets Rs 40,000 per day as well as travels in business class. The same has been claimed in a report carried by My Khel.

WIll Things Change For Jay Shah As ICC Chairman?

As far as the ICC are concerned, things might not change much as the chairman will be compensated for attending meetings and other duties. This is done so that they can go about their work without having to worry about the expenditure incurred. However, the ICC has not shared specific details of the payments it makes to such officials.
