SunRisers Hyderabad seamer Sandeep Sharma on Saturday attained a major milestone in his IPL career as he became only the sixth Indian seam bowler to scale the 100-wicket milestone in the coveted T20 league.


Sandeep got to a century of wickets in the IPL during SRH's game against KXIP, which the former lost by 12 runs. Playing against his former IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab, Sharma contributed meaningfully to his team's bowling efforts by picking up two wickets to go past the 100-wicket milestone and take his career tally to 101 wickets.

Sharma became the 12th Indian bowler overall, and only the sixth pace bowler to have scripted the 100 wicket-landmark in the IPL. SRH seamer joined an elite list of Indian and overseas bowlers in the 100-wicket IPL club.

SRH's frontline seamer and Sharma's team mate Bhuvneshwar Kumar has scalped most wickets among the Indian fast bowlers.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads the wicket-taking list among Indian seamers in the IPL with 136 wickets. Meanwhile, Umesh Yadav, comes in second with 119 wickets.

Delhi Capital leg spinner Amit Mishra happens to be the leading wicket taker among Indian bowlers in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mishra who had to pull out mid season on account of an injury is the second highest wicket taker in IPL with 160 wickets.
