New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) are all set to interview candidates for India’s coach job in Mumbai on July 10.

Cricket Advisory Committee led by Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman arrived at the BCCI headquarters, while legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will join the panel through video conferencing from London.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag will be the first and only potential candidate to appear for the interview in person.

Ravi Shastri, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, Phil Simmons, Richard Pybus will put their vision forward via video conferencing.

Former skipper Ravi Shastri is hot favourite to land the job, given his relation with Virat Kohli. Sehwag remains second favourite.

The position became vacant after Anil Kumble decided to step down after a rift with Virat Kohli. The legendary spinner resigned just before India’s tour of West Indies.

The CAC is expected to announce new coach on July 10 (today) and the newly appointed coach will be given a contract of two years, which means he will lead India to the 2019 World Cup in England.
