After WTC final, team India have been given a rare month's break before they travel to West Indies for an all-format tour.

On Day 5 of IND vs AUS WTC Final, Virat Kohli's dismissal during the run-chase was the game-changing moment and he even faced harsh criticism for getting out by playing a loose shot. It seems India's humiliating WTC Final defeat took a toll over Virat as the ex-India skipper has been sharing cryptic posts on social media. 

Kohli disappointed fans with his batting performance in the WTC Final. In the first innings, Virat was dismissed for 14 runs, while in the second innings he scored 49 runs. A big match-winning knock was expected from Kohli during India's 444 target run-chase in the fourth innings on Day 5, but he was dismissed for 49 after playing a loose shot in what Sunil Gavaskar described as an attempt to "achieve landmark, a milestone".

So far in 2023, Virat Kohli has scored 360 runs in 5 Tests at an average of 45, including a century innings of 186 runs.
