India vs New Zealand 3rd Test:  India have bowled out New Zealand for 235 Runs on Day 1 of their third Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. While Ravindra Jadeja scalped a five-wicket haul, Washington Sundar finished with figures of 4/81. It was the Kiwis who won the toss and elected to bat first. However, barring Will Young and Daryl Mitchell who both scored half-centuries, there wasn't much that the Kiwi batters could do.

India arguably produced their best bowling performance of the series despite playing without Jasprit Bumrah who had to miss out with an illness. However, Akash Deep produced the wicket with the new ball as he caught Devon Conway plumb in front of the wickets. Thereafter, it was all about the spinners. While Washington Sundar produced the wickets of Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra with superb deliveries, he returned late in the innings to get the wickets of Mitchell and Ajaz Patel.

The remaining five wickets fell to Jadeja who found his missing mojo. The left-arm spinner got rid of Will Young, Tom Blundell, Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi and Matt Henry on way to completing another fifer in his illustrious career and one that comes with some voices suggesting that he hasn't been as effective with the ball in this series along with Ravichandran Ashwin as some of the previous ones that they have played in.

Ashwin, however, could not get a wicket in the first innings after India were asked to have a bat first.
