IND vs IRE T20 series: The Indian cricket team is currently squaring off against West Indies in a full-fledged tour. Rohit Sharma-led team India, after winning the first Test, will play one more Test, followed by a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20 International series. After India's tour of West Indies gets over, the Men in Blue are slated to tour Ireland where they will play a three-match T20 International series.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, current team India head coach Rahul Dravid and his support staff team are unlikely to be part of India's tour of Ireland as they will be given a well-deserved break ahead of ODI World Cup 2023. National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman, who has replaced Dravid in the past, will take charge as India head coach for India vs Ireland T20I series.


Sitanshu Kotak, Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting coaches), Troy Cooley and Sairaj Bahutule (bowling coaches) are top contenders to become interim coaches of Indian team for Ireland tour.


All three-match T20 International matches between India and Ireland will be played in Dublin on 18th, 20th and 23rd August in Ireland. The selectors are yet to announce a squad for IND vs AUS Ireland series but it is expected that star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead a second-string Indian team on this tour.


Ajit Agarkar, the new chairman of selectors is expected to join the Indian contingent, possibly during the second Test between India and West Indies in Trinidad. Salil Ankola, a member of the selection committee, is already traveling with the team. After winning the first Test in Dominica, team India will fly to Trinidad, the venue of IND vs WI 2nd Test, starting from Monday onwards. Star players Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer are expected to make India comeback with Ireland tour.
