Sri Lanka are currently taking on Pakistan in the first Test match of the two-match series at the Galle International Stadium. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. However, it was one particular incident which happened during Sri Lanka's first innings that left the commentator in splits. It happened in the 45th over of the first innings of the match which was being bowled by Nauman Ali. While Hasan Ali was serving drinks to his teammates and had come on the field, he realised that his presence could cause a delay in the proceedings and started running back to get out of the field of play as soon as possible.
His sprint though amused the commentator on air who found it amusing. The video of Hasan's sprint during which he even manages to catch his cap which fell from his head has surfaced on social media.
Take a look at the video here:
Talking about the match so far, Sri Lanka have scored 226/5 in 58.2 overs but the match has been halted due to a wet outfield. Dhananjaya de Silva is the team's leading run-scorer so far and is approaching a fine hundred batting on 89. Angelo Mathews also scored a half-century, making 64 off 109 balls before getting out to Abrar Ahmed.
Shaheen Afridi has been the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan so far, having scalped 3 wickets for 56 runs. Naseem Shah with figures of 1 for 66 is the other wicket-taker for the Men in Green. Agha Salman and Nauman Ali are the bowling options which have been used by the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam but neither of them have managed to take a wicket so far.
Sri Lanka did not get off to the best of starts with the bat but the 131-run stand for the fifth wicket between Mathews and De Silva have helped them make a recovery of sorts.
