After Day 2's play of the ongoing Indian vs West Indies 2nd Test at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad, Indian batting legend made a kind gesture by stepping out of the team bus to meet mother of a West Indies' player and was gracious enough to have a word with her. Moments after Kohli stepped out of the team bus, West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva's mother hugged and kissed and went emotional upon meeting the modern-day Indian batting legend. She was quick to take a picture with Kohli before she hugged him again.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video via their official Twitter handle where Joshua Da Silva talked about her mother's special meeting with Virat.

"Yeah, my mom told me before day one, actually a few days before the test match that she’s coming to see Virat Kohli and not me. So it’s kind of funny. I kind of knew it might be my goal a little bit," Joshua said in the video posted by BCCI.

"He (Virat Kohli) was on the bus and my mom was like look it’s Virat. So I went and knocked on the window and he came out and met my mother. Made her day, made her year probably," Joshua added.

Wicketkeeper Joshua was earlier involved in fun banter with Virat Kohli on day 1 of IND vs WI 2nd Test.

"My mom told me on the phone that she’s coming to see Virat and not me. That’s literally what my mom said. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t blame her to be honest. She’s right up there watching," Joshua was heard on the stump mic as saying.

Virat, making his 500th international appearance for team India, scored his 29th Test century on day 1 of the ongoing 2nd Test against Windies. This was his first international hundred outside India since 2018. Kohli now has 76 tons playing for India across all formats.
