India Vs England 3rd Test: The third Test of the five-match series between India and England is being played at the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. By the end of the second day's play, England had taken a 345-run lead in the first innings and had pushed India onto the backfoot. On the second day, questions were raised about the fitness of Indian pacer Ishant Sharma. There is finally a statement on Ishant's fitness from, team India.

Team India's star player Mohammed Shami says Ishant Sharma is fully fit. Shami said, "You have seen Ishant Sharma. Ishant Sharma started the innings well and he was playing equally well in the end also There is no doubt about Ishant Sharma's fitness.''

Shami added, "It is the captain's decision as to which bowler will get to bowl how many overs. The captain has to decide about which bowler is recovering and should bowl a longer spell or bowl for lesser overs."

Ishant Sharma is proving to be costly

Shami also said that one of the reasons for bowling less overs was fielding. "We've been fielding for the last two days," he said. By fielding for too long, the captain lets you bowl only small spells. It is not possible to bowl 8 or 9 overs in every spell."

A lot of questions have been raised about Ishant Sharma's fitness. Ishant Sharma has bowled the least number of overs for India in the Leeds Test so far. Bowling 22 overs, Ishant Sharma has given 92 runs at an economy rate of 4.20 and has not taken any wickets.

Team India was all out for 78 runs in the first innings of the Leeds Test. England was at 423 runs for a loss of 8 wickets at the end of the second day's play in their first innings. It seems extremely difficult for India to make a comeback in this match.
