India 200/9. Need 31 more runs to win. Few more minutes remaining in the day. Can India at least force this match into Day 5?
Last Pair Putting Up Some Resistance for India. Bumrah and Siraj. The local hero hasn't had much to do with the ball, can he help India get these remaining runs?
Stokes exercised the right to extend the day by half an hour with the possibility of a result and almost half an hour and almost on cue Ashwin departs. He falls to Hartley, gives him the charge but is out stumped. IND- 177/9 after 63.2 Overs.
Hartley has cleaned up Bharat to complete a fifer with less than 3 overs to survive. IND- 176/8 after 62 overs. Superb from the spinner as the ball comes in with the angle than turns away to beat the batter's defence and rattle his stumps. He falls for 28 off 59.
50 Of The Partnership Comes Up then. Under 60 to get then now for India.
4 Overs To Go today. Partnership worth 45 off 118 between these two. Edge of the seat stuff this in Hyderabad.

Axar Patel earns a promotion. Probably because of being a left-hander. That means KL Rahul and Axar are out in the middle. All three wickets falling to left-arm spin of Hartley.
Massive blow to India as Rohit falls for 39 to Hartley who picks his third. The Indian captain was looking good and had just scored three boundaries in quick succesion but he plays for the turn when the ball holds its line. IND- 63/3 after 17.5 overs. They still need 168 more runs to win.
Hartley gets another wicket. Shubman Gill out for a golden duck. Just a defensive stroke that was a bit aerial and Ollie Pope takes a smart cath at silly point. Two wickets in the over for England and Hartley. IND- 42/2 after 12 overs.

Usual Attacking Approach From India's Openers- Rohit and Jaiswal. That's how it should be as scoring opportunities should be made the most of, if India are to win. IND- 22/0 after 5 overs. Rohit- 15* off 20, Jaiswal- 6* off 10. Almost a catch there dropped by Crawley in the slips off Wood with Rohit being the batter, but rest pretty much well-controlled from the Indian duo.
Mark Wood only got one over after which he was taken out. Spin at both ends now with Root and Hartley operating for England.
Rohit and Jaiswal then open for India. Joe Root begins the proceedings with the ball for England.
Lunch has been called on Day 4 but what a great afternoon awaits us. History for either sides to be made. India need a special effort to get to that 231-run target while England sense a chance to go 1-0 up in the five-match series. Pope's 196 really made the difference for England.
Jasprit Bumrah is the pick of the bowlers for India in the second innings, finishing with figures of 4 for 41. The spin trio got the remaining six wickets.
England are all out for 420 which means India need 231 runs to win in the fourth innings. What a riveting finish to the Hyderabad Test awaits us.

On Day 3, Ollie Pope's superb rearguard 149* in IND vs ENG Hyderabad Test has given England a lead of 126 runs with four wickets in hand.

Outstanding hundred from Pope, the first we have seen in this series and a knock of great courage and resilience. This is Pope'e fifth Test ton and one that sees England take a lead of over 50 runs with still 5 wickets in the kitty.
England are in the lead now. They still have 5 wickets in their kitty.
Axar, Jadeja Resume Proceedings for India after tea.
It's Tea On Day 3 and England are 172/5, still trailing India by 18 runs.
Stokes is outwitted by Ashwin. It's the 12th time that the off-spinner gets the better of the southpaw and what a ball from the Indian legend to see the back of the opposition captain. It's a full and flighted ball that turns enough to get it past Stokes to disturb the stumps. ENG- 163/5 after 36.5 overs. England trail by 27 runs.
Spin At Both Ends for India. First it was Jadeja and Axar. Now Ashiwn replaces Axar.

Bairstow comes into bat at number 5.
It's a double strike from Bumrah. For all the talks about this being a spinners' paradise, it's Bumrah who has produced two wickets in quick succession. Het gets rid of Root for the seventh time in Test career with England trailing by 73. ENG- 117/3 after 21 overs.
Joe Root comes in at 4. Pretty much all-rounder in this series with 4 wickets in the first innings already.
Commentators' jix or what? Just as we mentioned the partnership between Pope and Duckett, Bumrah strikes for India. India's pacer uproots the off stump as Duckett takes the walk back into the pavilion. ENG- 113/2 after 18.5 Overs. Duckett out for 47 off 52 with England still 77 runs behind.
Hello and Welcome. Apologies for beginning late on Day 3. But in case you are joining us now, the story of the day so far is that India only managed to add just 15 runs to their overnight score. However, that was enough for them to take their lead to 190. In England's second innings, Ashwin has been the sole wicket-taker who has removed Zak Crawley who edged one to the slip cordon. England were 45/1 inside the 10th over then. Since then Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope have added a superb second-wicket partnership. The recent score is ENG- 105/1 after 18 overs.
Background
IND vs ENG 1st Test, Day 4 LIVE: The series opener between India and England being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad stands at an interesting turn. While England batted first after winning the toss and were bundled out for 246, India, in response, posted 436, riding on 80s from three of their batters- Yashasvi Jaiswal (80), KL Rahul (86) and Ravindra Jadeja (87). That meant India took a 190-run lead in the first innings.
In the second innings, Ravichandran Ashwin has helped India off to a great start by removing Zak Crawley in the 10th over and India now look to spin a web around the English batters and try and chase down whatever target is set for them in the fourth innings in what is expected to be a spin-friendly track.
On Day 3, Ollie Pope's superb rearguard 149* in the Hyderabad Test has injected a new sense of life into the match. England now find themselves in a position where they could potentially fancy their chances, especially if they can build upon their current lead with an additional 50 runs or so.
