India will come into this match after a loss in their previous T20I at Guwahati. Despite Ruturaj Gaikwad's impressive century, they couldn't withstand Glenn Maxwell's late blitz, resulting in defeat. Australia's win in the 3rd T20I kept the series alive but they face a considerable challenge to clinch it.
On November 29 (Wednesday), the BCCI confirmed Rahul Dravid's extension as the head coach, dispelling earlier speculation about his intentions to step down after the initial tenure concluded with the World Cup 2023. Under VVS Laxman's guidance, the Indian T20I team have shown batting prowess, evident in all three T20Is. Despite Australia's comeback in the last match, India maintained an advantageous position. A victory in Raipur would secure the series for Suryakumar Yadav and his Indian team.
Australia are expected to tweak its lineup with the absence of senior players like Maxwell, Inglis, and Stoinis. However, replacements such as Josh Phillippe, Ben McDermott, Ben Dwarshuis, and Chris Green are expected to be the alternatives.
The 4th IND vs AUS T20I may witness Shreyas Iyer's return to the starting XI for India, likely reclaiming the number 5 spot from Tilak Verma. After a challenging match, Prashidh Krishna might make way for Deepak Chahar, who replaced Mukesh Kumar ahead of the 3rd T20I, in the playing XI.
