IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test: India got dismissed for 369 runs on Day 4 of the India vs Australia Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Nitish Kumar Reddy was the last wicket to fall for India as he took the aggressive route, trying to hit Nathan Lyon straight down the ground. Reddy, alongside Washington Sundar carried out the rescue act for India with a 127-run partnership helping India to bring the lead down to 105 runs.
India continued from their overnight score 358-9 and scored 11 more runs before Lyon got the better of centurion Nithish Reddy, who scored a brilliant 114-run knock, hitting 11 boundaries and one six. Reddy also brought up the second-highest score by a batter at no. 8 or lower in Australia.

Earlier on Day 3 of the IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test, 21-years-old Nitish Reddy stepped in with India struggling at 191/6 in response to Australia’s first-innings total of 474. He scored an unbeaten 105 off 176 balls, forming a record 127-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Washington Sundar (50 off 162).
Their crucial stand helped India not only avert the follow-on but also reduce the deficit significantly, after beginning the day trailing by 310 runs with their top five batters already dismissed.
Reddy became the third-youngest batter to score a century in Australia, behind only Sachin Tendulkar and Rishabh Pant.
