India will get their 3-match T20 international series against Australia underway later in the afternoon as they take on hosts in the opening game at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

The 'Men in Blue' would hope for a reversal in their fortunes and look to come out triumphant against the 'Kangaroos' in the 3-match T20I series after losing the 3-match ODI series 2-1 to the hosts.

India avoided getting clean swept after beating Australia in the third ODI at Canberra and would look to continue with winning momentum in the opening game being played at the same venue as the 3rd ODI.

If one were to look at India's T20I record against Australia 'Down Under', they hold the slight edge over the hosts, winning five out the nine T20 internationals against the 'Aussies'. Hence the visitors, will take some confidence going into the series despite not faring well in the ODI series.
