T20 World Cup 2022: India will finalise their T20 World Cup preparations with a blockbuster warm-up match against Australia, to be played at The Gabba, on October 17. India’s second warm-up will be against New Zealand, also to be played at The Gabba, on October 19. ICC announced the warm-up matches schedule for all participating nations of the T20 World Cup on Thursday.
The warm-up matches are going to take place in Melbourne and Brisbane for all 16 teams. Teams qualified to play the Super 12 round directly will play their warm-up games in Brisbane from October 17 to 19. The warm-up fixtures will not carry official T20 International status according to ICC.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 is hosted by Australia and is slated to be played from October 16 to November 13. The finals of the ICC Men’s T20 will be played at the iconic MCG, Melbourne.
