New Delhi: Virat Kohli, one of the best cricket players in the country, scored his T20 international hundred in Friday night's Asia Cup encounter against Afghanistan, ending a long wait for a century. After scoring 122 runs without being out, Kohli led India to a 101-run victory against Afghanistan. It was his 71st century and a first international century since November 2019. This achievement was celebrated by not just his devoted following, but by the whole nation.

After the game, Anushka Sharma posted a brief but touching message on her Instagram for her husband, who had finally silenced his detractors by scoring two half-centuries and a century in four Asia Cup matches. She wrote the caption, "Forever with you through any and everything."

Photos from the match show Virat celebrating his century. Soon after the photos were uploaded, the couple's friends began posting their reactions. Dhanashree Verma, the wife of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, responded with a series of heart emoticons. Virat also responded to his wife's post with a string of love emoticons.

Other celebrities, such as Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Sonali Bendre, Shraddha Kapoor, and Athiya Shetty, weighed in on Anushka’s post as well.

On Thursday, during India's Super Four match against Afghanistan, Virat helped his team score a massive 212/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Given all the talk about his recent lacklustre performances, this one was exceptional in more ways than one. Virat told the reporters after the game that he kissed his ring on the field after he reached 100 since his success is dedicated to his wife and daughter.

In the meanwhile, Anushka is getting ready to portray a cricket player in her next flick. For the biography Chakda Xpress, she plays the character of the famous Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Zero was her most last film appearance in 2018, which also featured Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
