The Indian team will be locking horns in the third Test against India at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from March 1. Ahead of the third Test, the good news coming from the Kangaroos camp is that all-rounder Cameron Green has declared himself fit. Since the likes of Pat Cummins, David Warner, and Josh Hazlewood have been ruled out, Green’s comeback in the side will be a huge boost for the Australian side.
"I am 100 percent ready to go. It was just a few instances in the nets where I'd maybe go for a sweep and just jar the end of my bat. We just thought we'd sacrifice a game and with the year ahead we've got, it was probably the right call. It's been really sweet the last two weeks, I've got a lot of confidence in it," Green was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
During the Boxing Day Test against South Africa last year, Green fractured his right index finger and was recuperating since then. Earlier, Australia skipper Pat Cummins will not be taking part in the third Test against India. He returned to Australia as his mother is ill. Steve Smith will be leading the side for the Indore Test, starting from March 1.
“I have decided against returning to India at this time as my mother is ill and in palliative care. I feel I am best being here with my family,” Cummins said.
