Harshit Rana Or Mayank Yadav: It will be interesting to see which of the two pacers, if not both, get to make their India debuit in the Bangladesh T20Is.

It was a thrilling end to the India vs Bangladesh Tests at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The Rohit Sharma-led side won the Test series 2-0 to claim the series. And now the focus has shifted to the T20 series where several new faces will be in action. As India now gears up for the three-match T20I series, it will be interesting to see who among Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana gets to make his India debut or whether there is place in the 11 to squeeze in both the players in the bilaleral series.

With the T20I series against Bangladesh up next, the leadership baton has passed on to Suryakumar Yadav. The two speedsters Mayank and Harshit will particularly be in focus but both are different kinds of seamers and it might all come down to the balance of the side that the skipper wants to play with. While Mayank burst on to the world stage with his 156.7 kmph ball in IPL 2024, playing for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and leaving a lasting impression for his sheer pace, Harshit was impressive as a death overs specialist for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

In IPL 2024, Harshit played 13 matches and picked up 19 wickets, playing a key role in KKR's victorioys campaign. On the other hand, Mayank, who was playing his maiden IPL, took 7 wickets in 4 matches before an injury ruled him out of cricket action. The 22-year-old LSG's speedster's fitness can also determine who between the two will get to don the India colours in the match especially with this being the first time Mayank being deemed match fit.
