The ICC World Test Championship final is set to take place on Wednesday where Rohit Sharma’s team will be locking horns with Pat Cummins’s Australia at the Oval. For India, this will be a great chance to conclude their title drought as they lost the WTC final last year too against New Zealand at Southampton in England by eight wickets under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

Just ahead of the high-profile WTC final 2023, veteran India cricketer Dinesh Karthik posted pictures of the pitch of the Oval where the match will take place on Wednesday.

"The pitch is ready for the #WTCFinal! A little browner as the grass is 6mm today compared to 9mm yesterday. What would you choose if you win the toss?" he tweeted.

Earlier, as per the reports, India’s skipper Rohit sustained a blow on his left thumb while taking part in an optional net session on the eve of the WTC final. However, no official statement has been issued by the BCCI so far, and seems like Rohit is fit to roar in the WTC final against Australia.

Rohit said on the eve of the game, "We are quite excited about the squad as well. We know what happened in the last WTC final as well and we know what happened. We have played here before."

"We will have a team briefing in the evening. A lot of guys have played in these situations. They have gone through these situations before. At some stage, they have faced pressure. We will have a good time in the middle. I had a look at the pitch, it will assist the seamers. The last time we played the reverse swing also happened on the last day," the Indian skipper added.
