After registering a massive 8-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the previous match, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has returned rock solid, posing not to straight forward chase of 145/6 for the lowest placed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) on Sunday, October 25. Star openers Aron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal put up a decent start this afternoon but soon the unit started to loose its grip after the fall of early wickets. Sam Curran with his Steller spell forced Aron Finch 15(11) to return to the pavilion too soon. RCB soon lost another crucial wicket when Mitchell Santner in his first match of the season dismissed Devdutt Padikkal 22(21).

Despite losing crucial early wickets, Royal Challengers Bangalore impressed the cricket buffs this afternoon as skipper Kolhi along with ABD stitched a solid over 50 partnership for the team. The team suffered another major shock with fall of AB de Villiers wicket, followed by that of Moeen Ali. The death over turned unfortunate for RCB as Kohli walked out of the game, but contributed a solid 50 for the team.

Speaking of the Men in Yellow, Sam Curran and Mitchell Santner delivered some straggling bowls restricting RCB batsmen to go for maximums. S Curran specifically contributed big for the CSK by removing two major wickets with his attack. The fans may also hail Faf and Gaikwad for their brilliant fielding combination.

It is yet to be seen if Kohli will be able to book his Brigade a playoff spot by clinching a win or the CSK, which looks almost over for this season, would now end on a high before bowing out of the tournament.
