After registering terrific 31–runs win in the first Test at the Adelaide Oval, India attained their first Test win on Australian soil in 10 years. India bowled out Australia on 291, handing over a 1-0 lead to the visitors.

India won a Test match in Adelaide after 15 years. They last won a game here in 2003 when Rahul Dravid smashed a total of 302 runs (233 in the 1stinnings and 72* in the 2nd), guiding India to a 4-wicket victory.

India have never won a Test series in Australia, they would be hoping to change that this time around.

Many Cricketing legends congratulated India for their first victory in Australia since 2008 when they beat Australia in Perth.
