India’s run machine Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters that India has ever produced. The reason why he is considered one of the greatest is because of the work ethic he follows on a regular stretch. Apart from playing match-winning knocks on the ground, Kohli is very particular about his everyday fitness routine. Kohli is the one who has set this fitness cult in the Indian team. Recently, when people were busy celebrating the  77th Independence Day on Thursday, Kohli made sure he didn't miss his practice.


The Delhi-based batter took to his Instagram handle where he was spotted running on a treadmill.  "Chutti hai fir bhi bhaagna toh padega (Even if it is a holiday, I have to run)," wrote Kohli.






The former India skipper is currently gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, slated to take place on August 30. The Indian team has not declared their squad yet. Virat took part in the Test series against West Indies and Alsop played in one of the ODIs. Post that he was asked to take a rest and missed out on playing the last two ODIs after which he left the Caribbean islands.


Currently, the Indian team is preparing for the T20I series against Ireland, starting from August 18. The second game will be taking place on August 20, followed by the third match on  August 2. All three matches will be held at the same venue.


Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the Indian team and will be the centre of attraction since he is making a return to the Indian team after a long injury hiatus. The Men in Blue will be hoping to clinch the series as they are coming back after a shocking defeat in front of the West Indies in the recently passed T20I series.
