Aus Vs Pak 2nd Test: Bowlers Dominate On Day 2 As Pakistan Trail By 124 Runs
Pakistan's middle order fails miserably as Australia take command in the second Test.
AUS VS PAK 2nd Test: Pat Cummins led Australia's fightback after their early collapse as Pakistan sit at 194/6 at the end of Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test. Pakistan were in a really strong position to take a commanding position in the Test match after they restricted Australia to 318 from 204/3 and themselves made an astonishing start to their first innings as they shrug off the dismissal of Imam-ul-Haq by reaching at 124/1 on the back of incredible half-century from Abdullah Shafique, who's purple patch continues in his incredible calendar year of 2023.
However, Pakistan re-established their former selves in the innings as they have been throughout 2023, which is being languish against great oppositions in Tests, as their inconsistent middle-order once again collapsed and restricted Pakistan, from a formiddable 124/1, to 170/6. The loss of 5 wickets within 46 runs brought Australia back into the game as their incredible bowling was led by their World Cup winning captain Pat Cummins.
The 20.5 crore purchase of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024 Auction, Pat Cummins, took three wickets as he dismissed the in-form Abdullah Shafique, and bowled their former captain Babar Azam, who's having a torrid past few months. He then got Agha Salman to make it 37/3 for himself walking into Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test. Pakistan will be looking to save themselves from the blemishes as their position at the summit of the World Test Championship was already dented when they lost the first Test match. Mohammad Rizwan stays unbeaten as he aims to get Pakistan par 250.
The crowd were too involved a lot in the match as they were seen having a good time out there. Around 44,837 people attended the Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test match.
